Pro Se solution after ELISE open call

The INVT team participated in the ELISE project’s 2nd open call with the goal of updating AI capabilities of the Pro Se solution.

With the financial support from the program and, more importantly, guidance from our scientific advisor Dr. Jelena Mitrović, we have improved performance and overall capabilities of the online privacy policy analysis processes and introduced new functionalities to further improve UX.

We have integrated state of the art methods and models for mining relevant information from online privacy policies.

Large language models are now an integral part of the Pro Se processes for privacy policy text analysis and understanding. We have applied a legal ontology to standardize our categorization scheme and introduce the concept of privacy protection red flags which are presented to end users upon privacy policy text analysis. These red flags are tailored to indicate missing regulations and privacy practices represented within privacy policy text which are not in line with end user preferences.

Finally, end users of the Pro Se solution will be pleased to read that we have finally introduced the AI powered Pro Se chatbot. Now, users can ask custom questions about privacy practices represented in the privacy policy at hand. The chatbot keeps sessions so that proper conversations can be held and answers can be properly refined. This brings us one step closer to our vision of the Pro Se as a digital legal advisor.

Participation in support programs like ELISE is very important for us. Not just for the awarded grants, but for visibility that we want to achieve for our Pro Se solution and our vision for legal tech AI applications in service of everyone. We truly appreciate collaboration with Dr. Jelena Mitrović who provided a necessary scientific rigour into our AI model training and validation processes. With the experience and know-how obtained through the ELISE open call, we are well equipped to continue to innovate and push the boundaries of what is possible in online privacy protection. Stay tuned for more exciting news from the Pro Se team.
